Q: How do I book a vacation rental?
Five Star Rentals & Property Management will send a rental agreement via email to you. Once this agreement is signed and returned with credit card information, along with your first payment of one half of the rental amount, your reservation is considered confirmed. From the time we send your contract we will hold the property in your name for two weeks to allow time for you to return the signed rental agreement and first payment check. Final payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival date. Information needed to prepare the contract are date of arrival, date of departure, full name, physical address, home and cell phone numbers and number, and the names and ages of all adults and children that will be occupying the vacation rental home.
Q: What time is check-in?
A: Check-in starts at 4pm. If you're arriving earlier let's chat, and we'll try to work with your schedule.
Q: What if I am arriving late?
A: We understand if you need to arrive later in the day. We do, however, politely ask you to call us and let us know if this is the case. You can reach us at 406-862-5994 or 877-523-5994 and we'll make arrangements for your arrival and pick up of keys to the property or the keyless entry code for your stay.
Q: Are your houses pet-friendly?
A: Yes, we do have some homes that are pet-friendly. Please check that the house you are interested is pet-friendly by visiting our Vacation Rentals section. Pets must be approved in advance, and guests are required to sign a pet addendum in addtion toa the rental agreeement, and pay an additional fee per pet as part of the rental amount.
Q: What time is check-out?
A: Check-out time is 10am. We're happy to work with you to stay a bit later to accommodate travel schedules if we don't have a check-in on that date. If there's a need, we'll try to find a way!
Q: What do we need to bring?
A: Clothes and groceries! We truly do have fully equipped homes, carefully stocked with dishes, glassware and flatware for the kitchen, along with pots and pans, towels... and bedrooms and baths have plenty of towels and linens. We'll start you with dishwashing and laundry soap. Many of the homes have kayaks, water toys, even snow shoes! (so check individual property listings).
Q: Is there assistance with our planning process?
A: Our team is here to assist with any or all of your planning. From activity bookings to grocery shopping, restaurant reservations to boat rentals, we'll do it! 20% fee is applied to published rate of any activity or service booked on your behalf. We'll prepare a welcome sheet for you with all confirmations, addresses and phones numbers of where you need to be and when. Our "Five Star Fun & Frolic" list too provides a comprehensive overview of restaurants, services, massage, activities, classes, salons - just everything our area has to offer. This will surely help with on site planning as well.
Q: Is summer the best time to come to the Flathead Valley?
A: A perfect time, but each season has its unique attributes. Winter is wonderful! Skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing in Glacier National Park, and our Winter Carnival in February! Fall's colors are gorgeous - reflecting off of our many lakes, Farmers Market with lots of unique crafts, Raceway Park, antique and gallery shopping. Spring as the snow melt evolves immediately into the greenest greens. We are truly an All Season destination.
Q: Are specific check-in and check-out days required for your booking cycle?
A: We want to accommodate your travels in the best way possible, and will take a look at availability at the property you're interested in to find the best fit. We don't limit our bookings to specific check in and check out days of the week, for instance Saturday to Saturday. If the home is available, we'll work with you on your dates.
Q: Do we wash linen, towels and clean prior to leaving?
A: No, no, no! This is your vacation and you leave the linen, towels and cleaning to us! The cleaning fee listed on your contract covers this - just pack and go with your memories and photos!!
LONG TERM RENTALS
Q: What Is The Process For Moving Into a Long Term Rental?
A: We recommend that a potential renter drive by the desired location to assess the neighborhood and proximity to work and activities. An appointment can then be made with a Five Star property manager to show you the property and discuss length of lease and monthly rent. If interested, an application is required to be completed by the prospective tenant and submitted via on line application. along with a $40. processing fee. Once approved, the lease agreement with be sent via email, for your signature. On move in date other paperwork will be completed at the Five Star office and a walk through with the new tenant and Five Star to fill out the “Condition of Premises” will take place. Security deposit is set for each additional property - check with your Five Star property manager. Additional security deposit is required for approved pets at a minimum of $200 per pet. Security deposits are fully refundable at the end of the term lease if the condition of premises meets that of move in minus “wear and tear”. A list of normal wear and tear expectations will be given to the tenant at move in. Security deposits are never used for final month's rent, but are returned after final inspection of the home within time frame mandated by Montana law.
